Tammy Hines is a mid-westerner who moved to Portland in 1996. A graduate of the University of Minnesota in 1988, Tammy began her career at Group II Architects in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and went on to work in both design and architecture offices before joining C&E in 2001. Tammy has professional experience in all aspects of interior design and space planning, and has used her diverse skills to complete small and large scale projects at libraries, residential developments, health care facilities and office environments. She is currently serving as a community representative for the design of new library in Gladstone. At C&E, Tammy has emphasized her interest in health care environments and has acted as senior designer and manager of projects for Adventist Medical Center, Oregon Health & Science University and PeaceHealth RiverBend Annex. She developed interiors for the Fresno County Juvenile Justice Delinquency Courts in Fresno, California, and recently worked with the City of Portland on a 100+ person move for the Bureau of Planning & Sustainability. Tammy has been an active participant with the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), acting as President-Elect of the South Dakota Interior Designers organization in 1995, and as Chair of their Annual Dinner, Program Committee and as a member of their Design Awards Committee. Tammy is a NCIDQ-certified professional. Tammy has two active young sons who keep her occupied; this explains her many volunteer activities for the Boy Scouts.
