Leah Nagengast, EDAC

Leah 279x375 Leah Nagengast, EDAC czopekLeah Nagengast started her design career at C&E as an intern in 2001, as she researched our field to see if this was the direction she wanted to pursue.  Working every spare moment that she wasn’t in school, in 2009, Leah graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Interior Architecture, a minor in Architecture and an emphasis on furniture design.  Leah spent the summer of 2008 at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad:  Furniture Design in Scandinavia in order to focus on her special interests at a place which excels at integrating the design of furniture and architecture.   Her thesis project focused on small scale living environments in which she developed a building based on efficient unit plans composed of modular furniture walls – a combination of product design and interior architecture.  Leah’s professional experience at C&E has involved a wide range of interior environments including health care, higher education, government and housing.  She recently became accredited in Evidence-Based Design and is excited to put her new found knowledge to practice.  Her current and most challenging project is her own mid-century home which is a work-in-progress.  This year will be her chance to implement lessons learned from her Urban Farming class at the UofO.
