Czopek & Erdenberger was part of the design team for a new 181,000 sf pavilion adjacent to the existing Hospital and Clinic Building at Adventist Medical Center. The new building includes the Northwest Regional Heart Center, which provides comprehensive cardiology services including diagnosis, treatment, and patient care in one building.
The interior exemplifies the client’s commitment to wellness. Warm-toned terrazzo defines major public circulation. Cherry wood paneling provides the backdrop for a large glass donor wall in the main reception area. Large windows highlight an open stair with bronze railing, providing access to the Heart Center and Conference Center below. Waiting areas are carpeted in warm tones of red, gold and charcoal, and are defined by curvilinear, wood paneled banquette seating. Wayfinding was integrated into the interior design early on in the project. By working with the architect in the planning process, C&E was able to establish critical locations for wayfinding elements. Finish materials such as floor pattern, ceiling elements, accent color and artwork were utilized to aid in the wayfinding plan.
